Where To Go Skating In Toronto
If you’re visiting Toronto for the first time in the middle of winter, we recommend experiencing one of our favourite Canadian pastimes: skating outdoors. Skate rentals and helmets are available at a couple of the locations, just in case you don’t typically pack those items.
- Take a turn around one of Toronto’s most iconic attractions at Nathan Phillips Square. Framed by the famous Toronto sign and new City Hall, this is the perfect central location to go skating. Open daily (including Christmas) from 10 am – 10 pm, adult skates can be rented for only $10.
- Albeit a little chilly, the Natrel Rink on the Waterfront is an excellent place to skate. Home to the number one outdoor party on Saturdays with a stellar lineup of DJs that will help you warm up as you dance/skate the night away.
- Just around the corner from us is the Ryerson Community Park which features a charming little ice-rink for locals, students and visitors to enjoy. Although you can’t rent skates at this location, it’s well worth the visit if you just so happen to be traveling with your skating gear.
