This is our second time staying at the Pantages, and not likely our last. Thanks to Hotels.com, we scored an upgraded room, and it was amazing. A large entertaining area and a separate large bedroom with queen bed had us feeling like we were living the Toronto life for a weekend. It was definitely more apartment/condo than typical hotel room. Couches were comfortable, Bed was comfortable (excellent pillows), and everything was super clean. The location is great – you’re walking distance to everything you’d want in the downtown core, and most importantly, my favourite breakfast spot in Toronto is in the same building. Seriously, go to Fran’s for breakfast. The staff are excellent – everyone was super friendly, and always helpful.

We stayed for a night before our flight back to the UK. Parking is the main issue but we managed to get into the underground parking across the road. Check in was fine and the room was good and spacious. Not too far away is the St Lawrence market and lots of places to eat. Breakfast was ok but not anything special.

Great hotel and staff. Our room was huge with a separate area for my child to sleep in. We walked all over downtown and found finding the hotel very easy to navigate.

I had the Signature Suite for 4 nights. THE GOOD – The suite is amazing, very spacious, well decorated. You feel right at home and has everything your need for a decent stay. – The gym is on the older side and windowless but has everything you need to get a decent workout. – The staff is very nice and very responsive to calls for housekeeping, replacement items, etc. – The location is very convenient, super close to Dundas Square and walking distance to pretty much everything you’d need to enjoy your stay downtown Toronto. THE BAD – Even though the suite has a stove and oven, it doesn’t come with a pan. You have to call to get one. And then you start cooking and realize that it doesn’t come with a spatula or any other item needed to cook. You’d expect to have these already in the room when you book a suite. – I can’t understand that in 2025, some hotel still only offer cable TV. There is a huge TV in the living room that would be great to watch, but it only has cable TV with no options to make it a “smart TV”. No one in 2025 sits on the couch and tells their partner “let’s see what’s on cable TV”. – The restaurant seems very sad, small and unattractive. We didn’t try it, but it has absolutely no appeal. There are plenty of other food options around. – There was a fire alarm during our stay. When we called the reception to see if we had to evacuate, the person wasn’t sure and told us to wait for instructions. The instructions came and told us to evacuate because there was an actual fire. You would expect the receptionist to know what to answer and what to do in these situations, and not tell people to stay in their room (better to evacuate than burn). Overall, a very pleasant stay, and would recommend the suite.
