Toronto’s Best Beauty Treatments
Whether you’re in Toronto for work or play, you want to feel and look your very best.
A hot shower in your room will help, but if you have some time to treat yourself to a bit of a makeover, Toronto has no shortage of spas and beauty treatments to get you feeling like a million bucks. Here are four of our favourite downtown spas.
Located on bustling King Street West, Hammam has one of Toronto’s most sought-after spa treatments. The stone rooms are relaxing and inviting and the pools are just the right temperature. They do skin, body, nail, waxing and registered massage therapy. And make sure you try their Turkish Bath treatment, which starts with a 15-minute steam followed by a candlelit soak.
Sweetgrass was named a Top 25 Canadian Spa and for good reason. It’s a fabulous experience and it starts with the magnificent pool. From there, you can choose everything from facials to manis and pedis to hair removal to massages. Sweetgrass is located on Queen Street East, not too far from the hotel, and it’s a great part of town to walk around.
Elm Street is a bit of a hike from the hotel, but it’s well worth the walk. In addition to the fabulous spa treatments, the Elmwood has two restaurants and a juice bar to satiate you after a session. Elmwood also has group packages you can take advantage of if you’re in town with people. Make a day of it, then go explore up and down Yonge Street.
Located in the historic Distillery District, this water-based spa features a warm Dead Sea salt pool, a hot Epsom salt pool and a cold plunge pool. You can choose any one of them or you can sign up for the Waters Circuit that gives you the chance to try them all. It’s hard to find a more relaxing afternoon than that. And when you’re done, you can stroll the cobblestone streets of the Distillery, find great food and kitschy shops.
Of course, when you’re that relaxed after a day at the spa, the last thing you’d want to do is head back to the airport. So don’t. Look into our Extended Stay packages and enjoy another light-as-air day in Toronto.
