Things to do in December: Experience the Christmas Market
Perhaps one of Toronto’s most Instagrammed destinations for the holiday season, the Christmas Market at the Distillery District welcomes locals and guests for another season. The historic neighbourhood transforms into a winter wonderland for all to enjoy. Here are a few things you can look forward to when visiting The Christmas Market at the Distillery District.
Shop Local
Craftspeople, artisans, and artists join forces to offer their one-of-a-kind wares to visitors of The Christmas Market. From high-quality custom-made candles to handblown glass ornaments, you will be able to find unique treasures for anyone on your holiday shopping list.
Ride the Ferris Wheel
Take a spin and see the sights of the city on the festive Ferris Wheel in the middle of the market. Tickets are available for $5 per person. It’s the perfect moment for a holiday selfie!
Visit Santa’s House
You’re never too old for a little bit of holiday magic! Stop by Santa’s house to meet the man himself. There is a photographer on site at select times in case you want to snap a picture to preserve the magical memory.
Sip on Spirits
Spirits of York is a new and trendy micro-distillery that is a must stop destination. Sample sips of Toronto’s finest vodka, whisky, and gin, all made in-house at the Trinity street location!
Eat
From cozy comfort food to fine French fusion, there is a restaurant for every taste in the Distillery District. If you don’t feel like sitting down for a meal, grab a treat from one of the local vendors. We recommend trying the ‘Tornado Potato’ or a classic Canadian Poutine.
